Requirements for Class
* Vaccination: Puppies under 12 weeks of age should have a minimum of one vaccination to begin training in group classes.
* Equipment: Dogs must be fitted with a suitable well fitted flat collar or front-attach harness, such as the TTouch Balance Harness, Freedom No-Pull Harness or Blue-9 Balance Harness®.
* WHS requirements: Fully enclosed shoes must be worn at all times by anyone in class including children when training or observing.
* WHS it is also advised to wear long pants, skirts and long sleeves for training as well as a hat and sunscreen.
* Dog faeces: If your dog toilets during class, it must be removed by the owner and placed in a suitable waste bin.
* Under effective control: The safety of everyone is our top priority.
* We train using positive methods only. Owners that use harsh methods or punishment-based training may be asked to discontinue training with us.
* Any instructions given to you by the instructors/assistants must be strictly adhered to.
* Positive Pooch Solutions reserves the right to refer any cases to another trainer that may be better placed to serve your needs.
* While all due care and caution are exercised during the training class, Positive Pooch Solutions is not liable for any injury or damage that the dog, yourself, or anyone that accompanies you may suffer or incur.
* Positive Pooch Solutions is not responsible for damages or any costs arising out of such damage that any person or dog causes whilst training; the responsibility lies with the owner of the dog causing the damage or the person responsible for causing the damage.
* As with any training program, end results and progress made is dependent upon you as the owner following the advice and methods given to you by the instructor. No method is guaranteed. Results will vary depending on owner commitment, consistency of training, and the degree of the problem/issue.
Policy for Courses
No Refunds
Fees are non-refundable unless negotiated for an extended illness. A fee may be charged to cover administration and credit card merchant fees.
If you choose to cancel a class, we do offer you the opportunity to receive a credit or to transfer your booking. Conditions apply, see below for more details.
Cancellation of enrolment or withdrawal from a Course
If you choose to cancel your enrolment or withdraw from a course, what you will receive back depends on the time you notify Positive Pooch Solutions. See our cancellation time frames and options below:
--Cancellations within 7 days of class commencement
If you choose to withdraw from a course within 7 days of its commencement, you can receive a full refund minus administration and credit card merchant fees.
Alternatively, you may receive a credit or request a transfer to another course. Credits are to be used within 6 months of the date payment was received.
--Cancellations once a course has commenced
You will not receive a refund once a course has commenced (other than for illness with a medical certificate).
You may transfer or receive a credit for the remaining value of your course to be used within 6 months from the date of payment.
Missed classes
There are no transfers, credits, refunds, or make up sessions if you miss a class or if your personal circumstances change.
Cancellation, Refund & Transfer
Positive Pooch Solutions reserves the right to amend any class, instructor, or appointment. In such circumstances, we will endeavour to provide a substitute of equal standing.
Should a class have to be cancelled for any reason, such as insufficient enrolments, any student enrolled in that course will be contacted and an alternative class, credit or refund arranged.

All fees are listed with the course or consultation details on our website.
--Courses
Payment of the full fee is required a minimum of 7 days before your course begins to secure your place in class unless otherwise agreed by Positive Pooch Solutions.
--Private Consultations
Payment of the full fee is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment unless otherwise agreed by Positive Pooch Solutions.
Receipts will be provided on receipt of payment.

Discounts on Fees
We offer a discount on fees for all previous clients who have attended one of our courses or are current private consultation clients. The discount is
10 % off all future dog or puppy courses and can only be gained using the discount code at the checkout. Discount codes are provided on graduation.
Marketing Material
From time to time we take photos during class of students and their dogs. These images are used by Positive Pooch Solutions for promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, social media, editorials and website.
These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for Positive Pooch Solutions. As a Condition of Enrollment, your consent is implied.
Should you not wish for us to take and use photos/images of you, your child, or your dog, please notify us during class and in writing.
Work Health & Safety
If you have an existing medical condition, allergy or disability that may affect your participation in a class, you should notify Positive Pooch Solutions at the time of enrolment.
Privacy
The contact information you supply to Positive Pooch Solutions will not be disclosed outside the Business without your express consent, except where required by law. We do not retain any credit card information that you may provide.
Positive Pooch Solutions will, from time to time, send emails to students and past students for the purpose of marketing. Should you not wish to receive mailings from Positive Pooch Solutions, please notify us that you wish to unsubscribe, and you will be removed from our mailing list, or you can simply unsubscribe at the bottom of the latest email.
Community Health Policy
--Student cancellations due to COVID-19 or similar
If you are a current student, any changes to your existing enrolment can be made in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
Should you need to withdraw from a class based on medical advice or from a Government directive that you should be isolated at this time, you may receive a credit for a future course/class.
Any refund will incur a cancellation fee to cover administration costs and credit card merchant fees.
--Change of mind due to COVID-19 or similar
If you choose to withdraw from a class due to a change of mind, you will receive a credit. You must notify us at least 7 days in advance of your class via email to positivepoochsolutions@gmail.com. There will not be any refunds for change of mind.
--Positive Pooch Solutions cancellations due to COVID-19 or similar
Should a class have to be cancelled due to a Government health directive, any student enrolled in that class will be contacted and an alternative class, or credit arranged.

- Limited-slip collars (aka martingale) and head halters are permissible for those dogs who currently need them, ie. dogs who tend to back out of collars (limited slip) or are at risk of pulling out of your hands (head halter). Our instructor will work with you to remove the need for use of this equipment.
- Check chains or other aversive equipment are not permitted in class.
- Flexi leads are not permitted in class.
- Extendable leads are not permitted in class

- All dogs should remain on leash at all times while training - the exception being if the instructor asks you to remove to perform an activity.
- Please avoid dog-to-dog interactions arriving and leaving class and during class – the exception to this is instructor supervised play during puppy class.
- Any dog that is a safety risk to other dogs, clients, or instructors will not be permitted. Dogs that worry about dogs or people (lunging, growling, attempted biting, biting) are far better suited to a private consultation. Please discuss to determine your best options.

- Package must be completed within a reasonable time frame of approximately 2 months for there to be the utmost benefit. If this does not occur the sessions will be forfeited. Unless there is an exception to this rule.
- If the trainer turns up and you are not available to train. Your session will be forfeited.
- If you fail to give at least 48 hours notice to reschedule your session it will be forfeited. (Exceptions will be given depending on the circumstances) You will be allowed 1 session reschedule.
- You must inform Positive Pooch Solutions before arrival to the session, if you or someone in your household is unwell or if your dog is unwell or injured and unable to train.
