Why In-Home Dog Training?

A well-behaved dog should be able to:
- Enter your home calmly and respectfully.
- Understand boundaries.
- Go to a bed, mat or crate and stay there when asked.
- Stay away from visitors until invited to approach calmly.
- Be quiet when asked.
- Not beg or demand from you.
- Walk calmly by your side (not pulling)
- Not react to other dogs, people and other stimuli
- Not jump up.
- Understand a free or play command. Not nip and bite.
- Come when called.
- Not be aggressive to other dogs, pets or people.
- Travel calmly and quietly in your car.
Above all you should be able to influence your dogs behaviour and state of mind in all situations and they should always be able to trust you.

PRIVATE INITIAL ASSESSMENT AND TRAINING SESSION - 1 DOG
Are you struggling with your dog not listening to you and/or your needing guidance on where to start and what to do ? A private 1:1 dog training session might be the best option for you.
We come to you and assess what you are doing well and advise you what can be done better.
We show you the basics of how to build a better relationship with your dog - include engagement, setting boundaries, handling, leash walking, good manners, self control, building a better relationship and more!
Approximately 1-1.5 hours
PRIVATE 1:1 FOLLOW UP TRAINING SESSION - 1 DOG
Approximately 45-60 minutes. We return to follow up on how you are all progressing with the homework that was given at the initial assessment.
We fine tune and add additional strategies for the individual dog and owner accordingly.
PRIVATE 1:1 TRAINING PACKAGE - 1 DOG
• Initial assessment at your home and 2 return visits (Package saves you $100)
• Trainer attends your home for a private consultation 1-1.5 hours.
• Assessment of the current situation and advice and training plan on how to improve.
• We can target what you want help with regarding owner coaching, general training and behaviour modification
• Also includes phone and email support as required.
We can provide specialised services depending on what is more appropriate to your needs.

Preparing for a new pooch or a new family member
Attend your home pre arrival of the new family member.
• If the new family member is a baby or a child, we implement strategies to aide your pooch with these big changes
• Advise and assist with set up, ensuring you are setting them up for success from day one.
• Includes 2 Follow up visits to keep things on track and to fine tune any initial problems.
Preparing your pooch for confinement
When there is pending Surgery and also for areas where emergency Evacuation may be required - such as high risk fire and flood zones.
Also for a puppy has had no previous crate training.
• Advise and assist with crate purchase and set up, ensuring you are setting them up for success from day one.
• Attend your home and help to set up crate and commence humane crate training.
• Conditioning your Pooch pre-surgery to wear an Elizabethan Collar or similar Post Surgery
• Includes 2 Follow up visits to keep things on track and to fine tune any initial problems.
Fear free vet and grooming preparation
• Preparation for Accompanying owner with their dog for a vet visit.
• Especially good for dogs that are very anxious.
• Not only good for dogs that are anxious but to proactively work at eliminating fear in the first place
• Looking for signs of stress that often start in the home before leaving.
• Working on strategies to reduce triggers.
• Conditioning your dog to be more comfortable with the vet visit.
• Hands on training on how to get your pup/dog ready for handling at the vet and groomer.
• Very beneficial for owners with puppies to educate them in a positive way about the vet and grooming process.
• Mock vet examinations so you know the process and allow your puppy to be more happy at accepting treatments.
Pooch at home for when you can’t be there
You need to work and need someone to call in to check on your pooch.
We will check on them & sent you an update.
Give them food, a toilet break, meds.
• Includes 4 visits
* Perfect to aid your new arrival with settling in to their new home.
(A young pup or an older one that has just been re-homed.)
* For dogs that are unwell and/or post-surgery.
* Basic Training and/or a short walk as required
* Feeding as required
